| By vehicle it starts in Prince Rupert by boarding a 6-8 hour BC Ferry ride sailing to Skidegate Landing in the Queen Charlottes. Skidegate Village is the entry point to the Queen Charlottes. The main ferry terminal servicing the Queen Charlotte Islands is located 2 km south of the village. Skidegate is the location for both BC Ferry Terminals. Once in Skidegate board a short 25 minute ferry ride to Alliford Bay on Moresby Island. Drive east for about 7 km from the Alliford Bay BC Ferry Terminal to Sandspit Village. By air from Prince Rupert takes about an hour to the Sandspit Airport. From Vancouver to Sandspit (770 km) and other destinations is best to check with local air charters as routes and times vary. |
