| The accommodations
operating on the Queen Charlotte Islands are
located on the two main inhabited islands; Graham and Moresby
Islands. Each island offers a different culture and history to
explore and a varied selection of activities and amenities to
enjoy.
The larger of the two, Graham Island, has more
villages - Masset, Port Clements, Tlell, Queen Charlotte City
and Skidegate - therefore a better selection of accommodations.
Plus in Skidegate Village is the location of the main ferry terminal
connecting to the BC Mainland and Prince
Rupert.
Most of the accommodations available on Graham
Island are in the form of a Vacation Home Rental, Inn, Cottage,
Motel or a Bed and Breakfast. Being a collection of small villages,
there is no major Hotels or Motels... and in some villages the
selection is very limited. But the villages are relatively close,
so day trips to other areas is a popular adventure activity.
The smaller island, Moresby Island, centres around
one community... Sandspit. The village is the main centre for
the forest industry and the airport. The back side of the island
is filled with active and deactivated logging roads. There is
a main Motel and some Vacation Rentals and Bed and Breakfasts
in the Village of Sandspit. . |
